even for less than $50k?

I don't know anything about them, but they seem like a very capable offshore boat. I've ridden on one and it seemed pretty damn nice to me. Newer than this one though. Around 2000 if I had to guess.

How did those diesel fumes treat you?

Friday night on anchor in 30 fathoms near the ledge, 11:30 p.m. it got real sporty but the boat was a real gunslinger and fired right back at mother ocean.

Ricky -

I don't know you or your circumstances, but I would hope you are not serious.

First, the motors are notoriously bad and you would play hell trying to resell the boat without a complete re-power. See BoatDiesel.com for details.

Second, take a good look at the shape of the bottom of the boat. I don't think smooth riding and dry are words I'd use to describe it.

Third, ask Red Bull over on CF his honest impressions of build quality, he owned a 36 last year.

Fourth, ask Charleston Boatworks why they dropped the line.

I hope I didn't offend any Luhrs owners out here. They just aren't my cup of tea.

I don't know anything about them nor am I in the market for a boat. It just looked like a deal to me and I was curious aout it.

No PQ, I don't like diesel fumes. The worst offshore trip of my life. It broke me.

Luhrs are great boats, especially in shallow. You can sink them in less than sixty feet, and they really create a great fish-attracting profile.

Are they really that bad of boats?

What about the newer ones?

It has a cassette player...reason enough to buy it.
